Well I understand the fundamental principles are boundaries set to secure the basis of a govening body. It is important to have only a natural born citizen hold office because the idealism will be common to those of the people. With the understanding that holding office isnt about power but a posititionn that is to serve and preserve what is set before us.

"...be sure to appoint over you a king the Lord your God chooses." DT 17:15 How does God go about choosing the King (President)?
A good Christian would agree with Carri that selecting a ruler that shares common ideals as those they rule is important. But people's ideal's are not as important as our Lord's? Christians should find no rest until their God Fearing Rulers hold power in public office. They should seek to cleanse the land by identifying those who are not brothers and "“smash their skulls, cut off their heads, put an end to their lives, see that they get no more to eat. ....drive them from the country!”
If no "countryman" can be found suitable as our President is it ok to elect a foreigner who is a "brother", votary of the bible and true in character and actions to God's will?

My Response to Hiny - I appreciate your biblical reference. Christians need to elected time tested and true Christian leadership. However, I don't agree with purging the land by "smashing their skulls." It is enough to allow God's law given to Moses to punish those who break the law in order to cleanse the land. Protection of life, liberty, and property is an inalienable right granted to all by the Creator.
